6.3 Preview: Muscle Card Practice
There are over 650 muscles in the human body, all of which have a specific name and role within the body. We WILL NOT by any means memorize all of these muscles or get even close to doing such a thing. Instead, each student will be assigned a group of sample muscles and create cards that include information necessary in identifying and classifying muscles. This will give you a quick snapshot of the vast amount of information that goes into a more advanced anatomy class!
- Directions: In your module guide, complete a "sample muscle card". This will be the introduction to the assignment that you will be completing later on in the module.
- Pick one of the following muscles (following options will not be included in muscle card activity) Latissimus dorsi, Pectoralis minor, Vastus lateralis
- Use visible body to fulfil requirements: click on muscular system, then on "naming muscles in the muscular system", then find the correct muscle or muscle group. OR click "anatomy ID - muscular system" and search your desired muscle.
