Before diving in

Unit 1 Anatomy and Physiology Tools

Instructions: 

• For unit 1, we will complete the A & P tools together in class (except for the medical imagining assignment).  

• We will start by introducing the three microscopic concepts (pathology, cytology, and histology). 

• Each unit we will add to that list, increasing the number of skills that are transferable from one organ system to the next.

• PROMPT ONE: What other tools/themes are present in all fields of studying A & P? 

1) In your module guide (see "Medical imaging assignment"), please compare and contrast PET scans and MRI scans. You may set-up a Venn diagram, create a chart, summarize, or whatever fits your learning style. 

2) Final ONE ADDITIONAL medical imaging technique (using your own research) and describe the basics of that method in ONE sentence.
